eCommerce / Amazon Business Development Trainee [Spain]

About the position

The primary objective of this internship opportunity will be to support and drive Pan-EU growth on the Amazon Platform. Current growth rates represent a missed opportunity for KCP sales on Amazon and this can be addressed through maintenance of key merchandising principles, implementation of Digital Marketing activity and monitoring and driving key Amazon metrics (PCOGs, ROOS, LBB etc). Focus countries will include ES, IT, FR, DE and UK.

Here are just a few of the main responsibilities of our future intern:

You will support the eCommerce Business Development Team in growing Amazon sales within their region, and:

Assess / analyse key metrics relating to:

  • Availability – stock holding and forecasting to further increase sales and maximise promotional activity

  • Visibility – review and enrich content, identify and execute opportunities to improve SEO

  • Traffic – Support and build marketing and advertising plans that grow traffic to KCP products

  • Conversion – leverage content, imagery, reviews, pricing and deals to drive purchase conversion.

Utilise a range of data (inc Amazon Vendor Central, Digital Shelf Monitoring tools) and dashboard reporting to provide insight to the eBDMs and support / implement both long and short term actions.

Provide regular reports and updates on suggested actions and impact of implementations

Ensure aligned approach with eCommerce Business Development Managers and wider eCommerce team (marketing, content)

Work cross functionally with key supporting functions (Supply chain, Customer Service, Finance).

You will also provide Amazon BDM Support on:

The content

i.e.localisation (proof reading descriptions / keywords), range management (Product updates / Range refresh / Data alignment / IDQ Reporting /Troubleshooting), Data comparison (Vendor Central vs Front End / Front End vs Shelf Conscious), and provide a icher Content (A+ Content creation / implementation, Vine Review Programme)

Deals

i.e. Country Level Management (Devise and implement country level deals calendar), where you will :

  • Define ASIN selection based on inputs
  • Define Price based on agreed metrics
  • Deals set-up (Vendor Central)
  • Tracking and Reporting, in line with agreed Promotional Spend and Revenue targets

AMS:

  • Content update & optimisation for AMS supported lines / ASIN list based on inputs (Bestsellers, profitability, Title and content, imagery, Reviews)
  • Provide Keywords optimisation in line with ‘existing’ methodology (Define Keyword List, Stick & Peel approach, Negative KW consideration)
  • Build and implementation (Set-up Portfolios, Auto / Phrase / Brand campaigns (as per agreed naming convention)
  • Defined ASIN list based on sales, content and keyword input.
  • Sponsored Brand Ads (Build Product List page based on inputs, Top Selling ASINs and keyword research)
  • Build creative
  • Portfolio Management (define Budget and CPC limits)
  • Ongoing optimisation (maintain performance in line with ACOS targets (20% TBC), own and define country level budget, Management via Kenshoo)

Supply chain

Own country level S-C performance by Forecasting and Demand Planning, following Key KPIs, RepOOS, OTIF, and optimizing stock allocation and localisation, or Troubleshooting PO issues

Reporting

By Defining KPIs in line with AMZ country level VIP ; Providing Monthly Reporting overview (Country level rolling up to EU5, commentary on key initiatives, forecasting and actions) ; ABP / Budget input and time estimation ;

SEO – repurposed for other customers (Not just Amazon)

About you

As a person and to be successful in this role, we believe you should have full proficiency in both Spanish and English is required (minimum B2+ level) - (Proficiency in French and Italian would also be advantageous, but not mandatory).

You should also have:

  • Graduated from a Bachelor’s degree in marketing or sales, or related field

  • Experience in eCommerce, digital marketing, merchandising, or sales.

  • Business orientation – understanding of market dynamics, commercial mindset

  • Analytical approach to data, experience of drawing insights from a range of source.

  • Methodical and structured approach to optimisation and problem solving

The internship position is offered as a hybrid role in the Madrid area.
